Mateus, Goblet, Ward 25, Plot 8 – The nightlife of Eorzea has always been a vibrant tapestry, but a currently lesser known strip club known as Cat Nipps colors that tapestry yet brighter. This dance club, with its unique feline theme, is already setting the city’s night scene abuzz with excitement.
From the moment you step into Cat Nipps, you’re welcomed into a world where elegance and feline fantasy intertwine. The decor is a sophisticated blend of chic and whimsy, dominated by a towering structure at the club’s heart – the Cat Tree. This impressive piece of architecture, stretching up to the ceiling, serves as a stunning visual centerpiece, with dancers gracefully performing around its many levels.
The club’s ambiance is further elevated by a plethora of cat-themed puns and references adorning the walls and menu. It’s a delightful nod to the theme, never crossing into the realm of kitsch. Instead, it’s tasteful and adds a layer of fun and lightheartedness to the sophisticated atmosphere. A quick read through the menu may leave you rolling your eyes, but a smile will be left in its wake.
Speaking of drinks, their selection left nothing desired. There was a plethora of options, ranging from hard liquors like whiskey to more subtle beverages such as red wine. Every drink was made with love and care by their excellent mixologists, all while showing off those sleek and sexy dance moves! I order a Kitty Twister, which while the name elicited a groan by my loving girlfriend, she seemed to enjoy just as much as I. The mixture of coconut rum, orange and pineapple juice was blended to perfection to create a strong but fruity and tasteful concoction.
The allure of Cat Nipps extends beyond just the walls that most guests see. Should you feel bold enough to order a private dance from one of the lovely dancers, you will have the joy of seeing the painstakingly designed rooms down the back hallways of the venue. From beautiful far eastern themes, to one with an abundance of water features that could put a cat to sleep, they are sure to leave you impressed and scratching to return. Each backroom is designed by the room owner’s own unique vision for private parties. Some of the most impressive designs I saw on my tour were by one Silas Sylvain. Be sure to keep an eye out for these up and coming interior decorators!
The heart of Cat Nipps, though, beats strongest on the dance floor. The live DJ, most typically renown DJs Kaen and PWN_E, spinning a captivating mix of the latest hits and timeless classics, ensures that the energy levels remain high. The music selection is spot-on, catering to a diverse crowd, and guarantees that everyone finds their rhythm.
And of course, the dancers. They are the soul of Cat Nipps. Clad in tempting and seductive attire, they are not just performers but artists who add to the club’s mesmerizing aura. Their movements are graceful, almost feline-like, and watching them is akin to observing a beautifully choreographed dance-off.
However, what truly sets Cat Nipps apart is its atmosphere of inclusivity and joy. It’s a place where everyone – from the most casual club-goer to the seasoned party animal – feels welcomed. The staff, attentive and friendly, ensures that your experience is smooth from start to finish.
In my sit down interview with lead manager S’aedara, I learned she had been there since the doors were open. She is accompanied by her partner in management, Rupert, who has a particularly beautiful style of colorful dance. During my visit, he was undoubtedly the life of the party, checking in on guests as they settled in for the evening. While my visit ended without a request private dance, that just goes to show the popularity of Cat Nipps! Be there when the doors open, folks!
